ME Coral Rock is an outstanding choice for aquascaping our aqauriums.   Our rock does not come from the reef so as not to disrupt our ecosystem.  It is Florida dry Oolitic rock which comes from coral that died many years ago now buried underground.   We pressure clean the rock, then bleach, and then remove the bleach chemically.  Providing the cleanest rock in the industry.   ME rock comes in unique shapes that fit well together to make interesting and unique structures. Our rock is full of nooks and crannies that offer great anchoring points for stacking rocks or placing corals of all sizes. ME Coral Gel bonds easily to ME Rock allowing you to create elaborate pillars, sturdy shelves, interesting overhangs and cool caves.  This rock has both sides cut flat.  This aids as a stacking support rock.  Rocks are approximately 1 to 2 inch thick.  Size is anywhere from a coffee saucer to a dinner plate.  Box comes with mixed sizes.    It also works great with our 1 side cut rock and regular round rock also available from ME.

Description

Bug-Free
Using ME Rock guarantees unwanted hitchhikers will not enter our tank, which is commonplace with live rock. Having no detrimental and difficult-to-remove aiptasia and majano anemones, fire worms, flatworms, mantis shrimp and pyramidellid snails in our aquarium is a huge advantage that will reduce stress during the life of our tank.   Eventhough the rock is very clean,  We recommend curing rock before being used in an established system.

Shipping
Shipping cost are included in retail price.
We ship in heavy duty double wide boxes, and make every effort to securely pack the Rock; However, the UPS  is not always gentle on heavy items and they do not consider this insurable.   Hence,  it is impossible to replace or refund broken pieces.  If this happens most pieces can be repaired with ME Gel if needed.

How many pounds do I need?
Every system is a custom design so an exact number is difficult.  As a typical rule of thumb we suggest 1lb per gallon of aquarium water.

Other Rock Shapes?
ME also has rock that has one flat sides sold separately.   Combining shaped or cut rock works great in combination with this base rock.
