ME Reactors (4×12, 4×18, and the Bio-pellet reactor) are designed to be used with a pump and hose connected to a barb fitting.  Some custom design applications would rather use hard plumbing with PVC.  This Reactor lid allows for this application with fittings for 1/2 inch PVC.
